Bombay Industrial Museum
Kohinoor Mills Co. Ltd.

This project was first conceived in 2001-2002 with the help of the late engineer Mr A.G. Bapat of the National Textile Corporation (NTC) Western Region, Mumbai; and Professor Rajnarayan Chandavarkar of Trinity College, Cambridge University the late historian of Mumbai's textile industry and trade unions.

Initial work was supported by the India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) through an Arts Collaboration Seed Grant in 2004-5. The project had to be terminated due to the public interest litigation on the closure and sale of mill lands in Mumbai in 2005-6 and the tragic deaths of Mr A.G. Bapat and Prof Raj Chandavarkar in 2006.
